REVELATION 12
•
"And there appeared
a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her
feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: and
she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered." (Rev 12.1,2).
To whom it was
intended this great sign in the sky that the Eternal promised (Joel 2.30)? A
large signal, but for many, with certainty, pass unnoticed.
Comes the
question: who exactly is this woman? There is a lot of discussion on this question.
Unfortunately, the majority of individuals pays no attention to the word
"signal". This means that it is something to happen in the
future (consider
that this vision was given in about 90 A.D.). It
is good to remember that nobody signals about something that has
already happened.
It is very
likely that this sign will be seen in heaven at the rapture:
•
“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his
temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and
thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail." (Rev 11.19).
All people have seen
the Church (ark of the
covenant) in the heavenly sanctuary, in addition to
see lightning, thunder and hear voices and experience great earthquakes.
A little before, during or after a little will be also seen this signal and
the following (the dragon):
•
"And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth
beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke" (Acts 2.19).
But ultimately,
what means these signals?
The woman
represents the faithful Israel from the 70th week. After all,
the woman is used in Scripture to designate married females, being used to
symbolize Israel; virgin is the term used to refer to the Church.
In addition, the
Scripture is clear:
•
"Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was
delivered of a man child. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth
be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once?
for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children." (Isaiah 66.7,8)
•
"Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into
singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more
are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,
saith the LORD." (Isaiah 54.1).
•
"The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other,
shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give
place to me that I may dwell." (Isaiah 49.20).
It is well known
that the state of Israel arose in one day (1948). Although this political
Israel is not the true Israel of the Eternal, even so the creation of the state
of Israel does not cease to be an extraordinary miracle.
Note how the
Jews had to suffer pain as a woman that travails for
the formation of the same (died more
than 6,000,000 Jews in the second world war).
Comes the
question: is it not suspected that a pagan and corrupt world, which
follows the course of Ha-Satan (Eph 2.1,2), to
support the people of the Creator?
The true
Israel has been labor and, at the beginning of the seventieth week, give
birth to their children: the two witnesses.
Characteristics
of women:
1. Her
appearance is wonderful: she is clothed with the Sun. It
is no secret that Jesus is represented as the Sun of Righteousness (Lk 1.78) and it is ordained
that we put on the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 13.14) and love
that is Jesus Himself (Col 3.12).
o
"For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace
and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." (Psalm 84.11).
o
"And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy
judgment as the noonday." (Psalm 37.6);
o
"But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise
with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the
stall." (Malachi 4.2).
Israel was elected to initially
bring the prophetic word, which must be as a light that shines in a dark place
until Jesus appears (2Peter 1.19):
o
"Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh
Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen." (Rom
9.5).
Israel was used to give birth to
Jesus (the Lord who is
our righteousness) according to the flesh, and now is
suffering that Jesus is formed in the heart of the two
witnesses.
That is, the woman is clothed with
the righteousness of the kingdom of eternal (Matthew 6.33). Hence the
crown on her head (2Tim 4.8). Although
Paul cite that the crown of righteousness will be given (future),
spiritually whoever believes in Jesus is already dressed (Eph 6.14) and
crowned with it. That is to say, the crown shows a woman fighting in
order that true justice (Jer 23.6) and
Light (John 8.12) is
born, reigning in life over sin (Rom 5.17). The Church, in
the same way, no dress of the glory of this world, nor of the religious system,
but the glory of the Creator.
2. She
is well supported: she has the moon under her feet. What is under
the feet of Israel?
o
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalms 119.105).
The moon is known for its beauty:
o
"Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the
moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?" (Song 6.10).
o "If I beheld the
sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;" (Job 31.26).
The moon is also
to determine the stations and preside at night:
o
"He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down." (Ps 104.19).
o
"The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for
ever. " (Ps 136.9);
Gathering all this, the moon
represents the prophetic word, to which we must look until Jesus to shine in
our hearts:
o "We have also a
more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a
light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise
in your hearts:" (2Pet 1.19).
That is, the word of the prophets
in Scripture (the
prophecies that have been spoken by the mouth of the Eternal) points
to the rock on which we must build our life (Matthew 7.21-23), presiding
over our spiritual nights and filling our lives of beauty (see Deut 4.7,8) until
the day that we hear what the Eternal has to say to us (John 5.24,25; Rom 10.17; Rev
2.7,11,17,29; 3.6.13.22). From then on, instead of being guided solely by
Sacred Scripture, we will be guided directly by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8.14; Gal 3.23-25) in
His Holy Scripture.
In dark moments of our lives, when
Jesus seems distant, we must keep grounded in Holy Scripture and what He
personally told us (Matthew
7.24-27).
3. She is
identified in a singular manner: She has, in the head a crown of twelve
stars made.
o “The mystery of
the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden
candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the
seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches." (Rev 1.20).
That is to say, the crown that
confirms the reign of woman is composed of the most diverse types of individuals that the
Eternal places in her life in order to confirm His truth. The
salvation (see Eph
6.17) of the Creator must illuminate her face
wherever she goes (Matthew
5.14-16), so that all, to look at her face, see the face of
Christ, and not hers.
The crown is a confirmation of the authority
that has been given by the Kingdom represented by the crown. In the case
in question, who belongs to Jesus is identified by those who are around them (Rev 19.8 - as the portion of the
Eternal is his people - Deut 32.9), as well as by the gospel of
Christ:
o
"For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are
not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?" (1Thes 2.19).
As to the number twelve, see some
occurrences of this number in Revelation:
o "And had a wall
great and high, and had TWELVE gates, and at the gates TWELVE angels, and
names written thereon, which are the names of the TWELVE tribes of the
children of Israel:" (Rev 21.12);
o "And the wall of
the city had TWELVE foundations, and in them the names of the TWELVE apostles of the
Lamb." (Rev 21.14);
o
"And the TWELVE gates were TWELVE pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city
was pure gold, as it were transparent glass." (Rev 21.21).
Assemble
it with:
o "But if I tarry
long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of
God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." (1 Tim 3.15);
o "And are built
upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being
the chief corner stone;" (Eph 2.20). "brackets added by me to facilitate
understanding".
Note that the twelve stars are not
to adorn the crown. Rather, the crown is formed by them (which reminds 1Thes 2.19).
There are twelve stars because they
are the twelve tribes of Israel, as well as the number of apostles.
We must not also forget that:
o "And they that
be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many
to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." (Dan 12.3).
o
"Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the
interpretation of a thing? a man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the
boldness of his face shall be changed." (Ecc
8.1).
Who shines like stars in our life
are those who are wise (who fear the
Eternal - Job 28.28; Prov 9.10).
Finally, the true Israel of
the Eternal is identified by all (and not just some) who are
Israelites in the flesh and the spirit at the same time (Rom 2.28,29 - remember that
the twelve apostles were twelve Jews). So it
must be with us: as descendants of Abraham by faith in Christ, we must live the
new covenant in order that all the old covenant is confirmed.
4. Your
generation is wonderful: she bare a son who was to rule the nations with
a rod of iron. The woman is suffering the pangs of childbirth until
Christ is fully formed in the heart of the two witnesses (Gal 4.19);
5. Her
antagonist is horrible: Ha-Satan.
6. Her
influence is fantastic: a war arose in heaven because of her, which resulted
in major changes here on earth to save her.
The three attributes
of this woman are also cited by Solomon in his canticle in honor of the
virtuous woman:
•
"Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the
moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?” (Song 6.10).
Flag is an
idea or goal that guides the army. When a woman or a army has good ideas and a
noble goal, it is fearsome (worthy of
all respect). Similarly, the true Israel behaves as a virtuous
woman, shaking the world wondrously:
•
"For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world,
what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead" (Rom 11.15). What
is between brackets was added to facilitate understanding.
Initially the
woman (Israel) is
seen in the sky, once the two witnesses, for having accepted Jesus, will behave
as lights in the midst of darkness in which Israel and the rest of the world
will. Hence the woman be treading the moon: she is shining the sun of
justice in the dark night that took account of Israel, confirming everything
that Jesus did for Israel in the Old Testament and taught through the life of
twelve apostles. So too should be we in this world (Matthew 5.14-16).
This woman
suffered torments to give birth. And this, before the dragon to appear. How
did all of this start?
•
"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy
conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall
be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." (Genesis 3.16).
Note how the
woman had increased her gestation period, as well as the suffering because
of the children (i.e.,
without counting the pains of childbirth).
But
why this woman felt pain?
Consider the
case of Paul:
•
"My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be
formed in you," (Gal 4.19).
As the torment
to give birth, it is good to remember the following verses:
•
"A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come:
but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the
anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world." (John 16.21).
•
"Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman
in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell
in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be
delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies." (Micah 4.10).
•
"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and
there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and
troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows." (Mark 13.8).
•
"All these are the beginning of sorrows." (Matt 24.8).
Since the arising
of the state of Israel in 1948, nation has been raised against nation and
kingdom against kingdom. But all this (including the arising of the state of Israel) is
the beginning of sorrows to the birth of Christ in the life of two witnesses,
whose testimony ends with Christ coming to rapture His church.
Always been a
torment to the faithful of Israel keep alive the Word of the Eternal in their
heart until finally they come to give birth to Jesus in someone's heart (here, in particular, the two
witnesses). As well as the Eternal multiplied the gestation
period of a woman, He planted the seed of the Word (promise) in
the heart of Abraham (Gen 12.1-3) and
this has been conceived for about 4,000 years (Gen 18.18,19) in the
hearts of all who believe in Jesus.
Detail: Note
that the dragon made a point of stopping everything only to come face to face
with the woman. Therefore this event was of fundamental importance.
But why the
dragon does not tried to catch the woman in the back? Why not kill the
woman, instead of her son? Even more considering that she was weak.
This shows that
the Eternal gives no burden beyond what anyone could bear (1 Corinthians 10.13). Furthermore,
she was clothed with with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, why
is it that this woman did not rebuke the dragon in the name of Jesus? Because,
unfortunately, until today, the majority of Israelites do not recognize Jesus
as the Messiah, and for this reason, it is necessary they pass through all the
persecution described here (Rev 12.6,14).
In addition,
only after finish with all the power that the people of Israel has in this world (Dan 12.7) is
that the second half of the 70th week will fulfill itself fully.
•
"And she brought
forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her
child was caught up unto God, and to his throne." (Rev 12.5).
When the Holy Scripture says that Jesus will go to reign with irod rod
(Rev 12.5), this means that His kingdom will be forced.
Comes the question: why Jesus will make this in the millennium?
During this dispensation, everyone was leaded to believe that, if
everybody was obliged to be good or, instead, obliged to follow a righteous
rule code, the world would be perfect.
Well, in order to show that the Jesus’ salvation only is efficient
through His grace and by His faith, Jesus will go to reign with irod rod. When
the millennium to finish and Ha-Satan entice millions of people (Rev 20.7,8),
will be proved that, even delighting the
good, pleasure and perfect Christ’s will (Rm 12.2) for one thousand years, if
the individual wasn’t bear again, never will see the Eternal’s Kingdom (John
3.3).
Man child: this
expression is not a repetition, but a confirmation of the robustness, vigor and
strength of Jesus in the life of two witnesses, as well as His determination not
to surrender in the face of evil. In the Old Testament, the birth of
the son man was always seen as a huge blessing:
•
"Cursed
be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born
unto thee; making him very glad." (Jeremiah
20.15)..
In Revelation,
Jesus is not seen more as someone merely humiliated, but as the mighty
redeemer.
Just as Jesus
came in the fullness of time (Gal 4.4), when the world was all in
darkness, so it will happen with Their two witnesses:
•
"Nevertheless
the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when
at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea,
beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. The people that walked in
darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of
death, upon them hath the light shined." (Isaiah
9.1,2).
•
"The
land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea,
beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; the people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat
in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up." (Matt
4.15,16).
For this
reason the woman is seen with the moon under her feet. After all, the moon
was made to rule the night. However, as she was clothed with the sun, therefore
the light that flowed from her was capable of turning darkness into light,
night into day.
She suffered
torments to give birth because, as well as happened when Jesus came into the
world (Herod
ordered the death of all children up to two years of age - Mt 2.16-18), now
also many will do everything they can to destroy the two witnesses so that
Jesus did not come again.
•
"And there appeared
another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and
ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads." (Rev 12.3).
The dragon is
the color of the second horse (Rev 6.3,4),
which was intended to lead people to unbelieve from each other (including through the religion) in
order that they destroy themselves. He had seven heads, i.e., it was the source
of all wisdom of this century (see 1
Corinthians 1.20; 2.6; 3.19; 2Cor 4.3.4; Matt 19.5) and ten
horns. Whereas ten is the number of the council of legality (Ten Commandments, tribulation ten
days promoted by the false Jews (Rev 2.9,10), ten minas given for ten servants (were
not given to children - Lk 19.13), ten virgins of physical Israel (Matt 25.3,4)), the
ten horns represent all the legal power of this world (different from the council of Christ
that is formed by twelve individuals governed by family ties of love. The
twelve tribes of Israel were, initially, twelve brethren and the twelve
apostles were to be as brothers of each other).
It was this that
Ha-Satan offered to Jesus:
•
"And
the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the
kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him,
All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered
unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it." (Lk
4.5,6).
That is, the ten
horns represent all the power and glory from the system that governs this
world, which are under the domain of Ha-Satan. In what the Messiah rejected all
this (because His
reign is not signed on the effectiveness of the things that there is in this
world), He gave them to the anti-messiah through his ten
servants (the global
elite - Rev 17.17).
Although
throughout history Ha-Satan has always used a head (leader) to
govern the world through one of the facets of secular domain, now he
decided to put his real power in a group of people who acts in the
shadows by means of a puppet (the
Antichrist). Perhaps for that people, instead of defy directly
the leader, does not recognize who is really reigning and, in this way, he can
keep the evil force acting, since now, instead of wasting time trying to build
a new leader (and time is
something that Ha-Satan knows well that he won’t - Rev
12.12), he an only get a new puppet (which is much easier).
In other words,
Ha-Satan has their heads crowned because each of them are kings that
reigned, being that the seventh is the Antichrist who will still reign, but
only for a short time, since he will be killed (perhaps by ten horns).
After the death
of the Antichrist, the ten kings will reign (hence the beast from the sea have horns crowned
instead of head). However, when the angel of the abyss possess
the body of the beast and adds to itself all the powers of the seven heads, the
ten horns will be amazed and end up giving his power and authority to the beast
that came up out of the abyss (Rev 17.13).
That is to say,
while initially were the heads which reigned, now are the ten kings who reign in
fact. The beast that ascends from the abyss will be only king because the ten
horns grant to its the reign of them.
The monster head
enemy of the Eternal is, in other places, named:
•
Rahab (Psalms
89.10; Isa 51.9);
•
Behemoth (Job
40.15-20);
•
Leviathan (Isaiah
27.1);
•
Serpent (Amos
9.3);
•
Dragon (Psalms 74.13 - has versions that mention dragons in
place of sea monsters).
In Daniel 7.4-7,
the powers of darkness that precede the second coming of Christ are represented
by four animals which, in total, have seven heads: Lion (Babylon - one head),
Bear (Media-Persia
- one head), Leopard (Greece - Four head), the
animal terrible (the kingdom
of antichrist - one head).
This dragon
is Ha-Satan, which shall consist of:
•
Intellect: seven heads. Ha-Satan has the
most brilliant human minds on his command. Hence (1 Cor 3.18-20);
•
Implementation: ten
horns (although
such force is imperfect, because the Council of the Eternal is composed of
twelve). Though the major world powers are under the
supervision of Ha-Satan, he cannot form a perfect council, so as to coordinate
harmoniously (as a
brotherhood) all powers and overwhelm with perfection all
resistance.
•
Empire: seven crowns (diadems).
Ha-Satan has the most magnificent empires under his control;
•
Great power and cunning: great dragon,
i.e., a great astute serpent (see Gen 3.1) who
walks and flies.
The serpent is
nothing more than the dragon after losing the wings and legs.
He presents
himself as a red dragon, because red is the color that represents life (blood),
which he would pour through the religious persecution and, mainly, by
deception (sin).
•
"And his tail drew
the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the
dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour
her child as soon as it was born." (Rev
12.4).
The tail of the
dragon symbolizes the false prophet (Isaiah 9.15). The image to
launch the stars by land is found in Daniel:
•
"And
out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great,
toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And
it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some
of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them." (Dan 8.9,10).
Ha-Satan being
the father of the lie (John 8.44), and
the murderer of all who act so righteous (1 John 3.12) (for example, the saints and witnesses
of Jesus - Rev 17.6), what more could be expected of him? The most
appropriate is that he try to drag and drop, through their false
prophets (its tail), the
third part of the wise messengers of eternal which, by virtue
of his wisdom and willingness to teach His righteousness,
shone in the sky (Dan 12.3):
•
"And
they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that
turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." (Dn 12.3).
•
"Ye
are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be
hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a
candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your
light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your
Father which is in heaven." (Matthew
5.14-16).
•
"Do
all things without murmurings and disputings: that
ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst
of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;" (Phil
2.14,15).
•
"The
mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven
golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and
the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches." (Rev 1.20).
But why the
eternal would allow this?
As in the
first coming, the second will be preceded by a process of purification (Malachi 3.1-3).
•
"And the misunderstandings among
the people shall instruct the many; however shall fall by the sword, and by
flame, by captivity, and by theft, for many days. And fall, they shall be
helped with a little help; but many shall be gathered unto them with
flatteries. And some of the misunderstandings will fall, to be tried, purified,
and embranquecidos, until the end of time, because it is yet for an appointed
time." (Dan 11.33-35);
•
"And
it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts
therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left
therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine
them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call
on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they
shall say, The LORD is my God." (Zechariah
13.8,9);
In the first
instance, it seems that to be among those who have been overturned by
Ha-Satan is something bad. However, everything that is high among men is an
abomination before the Eternal (Lk 16.15). The other two
parts of the wise (which are
like the scribes, Pharisees and doctors of the law at the time of Jesus) will
be extirpated (see
Zechariah 13.8,9).
After all, who
belongs to Jesus has to shine, not in heaven, but on earth:
•
"Do
all things without murmurings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights
in the world;" (Phil 2.14,15).
The fact of throwing
them on the ground means that Ha-Satan will be able to do, in the 70th week,
with one third of those who worship the Eternal in view of the heavenly
things (such as
ordering Matt 6.19-21; Col 3.1-5) come to apostatize
from the faith, going to adore Him in the flesh, with a view to the goods
of this world (this is the
trademark of the antichrist - Matt 16.23; John 15.18,19;1 Corinthians
15.19; 1 John 4.5,6). Remember the possibility of many chosen being
deceived (Matt
24.4,24). Here we can see that a third of them will be
deceived.
But why the Eternal
will allow a third of them fall?
•
"Then
I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint
which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice,
and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to
be trodden under foot?" (Daniel
8.13).
•
"I
will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my
wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to
tread them down like the mire of the streets." (Isaiah
10.6).
Unfortunately
many of the chosen remain in hypocrisy. Seek the wisdom of the Eternal and seek
to teach justice, but do not live this in themselves:
•
"Ye
are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith
shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and
to be trodden under foot of men." (Matthew
5.13).
Unfortunately,
many in this third part, allow several be joined unto them with
flatteries (Dan 11.34). Hence such
knowledgeable ones have to fall by the sword, fire, captivity, theft,
etc.: to serve as a discipline (Dan 11.35). The
affliction will be such that these days seem many (see Matt 24.21).
In addition to overthrow
a third of chosen (Dan
11.33-35), Ha-Satan will be in heaven stopped before
the woman hoping to devour her child when born.
And this is not
the first time that Ha-Satan attempts to thwart the plans of Christ:
1º
- He tempts Eve so that she and Adam ate of the tree of the knowledge of
good and evil, and thus die as God said would happen (Gen
2.17). Knowing that the
Eternal does not lie (Nm 23.19), he thought that, when
they sin, the two die and, thus, their victory would be complete. Jesus would
not come to confirm the truth and everything would be finished. He didn’t think
that everything was already planned by the Eternal and that He
already had a solution for this issue, i.e.: how to give continuity to life
without opening hand of His truth and justice;
2º
- He uses the pagan women to seduce those who, by faith in the Creator,
were His sons (Gen 6.1,2). In so doing, the evil
reaches a level that is so terrible that all flesh corrupted his way (Genesis
6.12), even to the point of
seeking in the Creator the death of all living beings (Genesis
6.13). Ha-Satan knew that the
Eternal, in His justice, could not turn a blind eye to sin. Apparently it was
the end of the world. He hadn't counted with the fact that someone could be
reached by the favor of the Eternal amidst so much evil (Gen
6.9);
3º
- In Egypt, he uses Pharaoh to kill all the men, and thus put an
end to the holy lineage twice (Exo 1.16,22). He hadn't counted with
the supernatural way of eternal act, saving Moses (Exodus
2.5-7);
4º
- At the time of Esther, Haman, the descendant of agag (to
whom Saul thought to spare - 1Sam 13.9), tried to kill all the Jews and, once more, to destroy the holy
lineage, from which Christ would come (Esther 3.12,13).
5º
- When Jesus was born, Herod tries to kill the Messiah by destroying all
children two years down (Matthew 2.16-18).
6º
- Finally, he uses the religious leaders to incite the crowd to kill the
Messiah, thinking that, with this, the sheep it would be scattered and the
truth would be lost. Although this scattering occurred (Mk
14:27) and Ha-Satan used the
religious system to bribe the guards, so that they all believed that Jesus was
not ressurrect (Matthew 28.11-15), Ha-Satan barely
knew that it was precisely this that would strengthen the truth and divide
the history of mankind. Fortunately, see the true daughters of Jerusalem,
weeping for Jesus (Lk 23.27,28).
These all were partial fulfillments of the
greatest of all persecutions that will be unleashed against the woman (Israel) throughout the 70th week of Daniel. Only that
the persecution will be in two stages:
·
(Rev 12.6) -> those who
are secure with Jesus and be raptured (144,000 sealed);
·
(Rev 12.14) -> those that
were not raptured, but that will convert in the Great Tribulation and will be
preserved.
However, during
the entire period of life of two witnesses, Ha-Satan cannot prevent the
ministry of them. And, when he supposedly seems to have winned, the two
witnesses are resurrected and raptured to be with Jesus in the clouds (remembering what happened to
2,000 years ago with Jesus when he won, he ascended into heaven
and sat at the right hand of the Father (Rom 8.34)).
Henceforward
they, along with the rest of the Church, will be with Jesus reigning (Rev 3.21) at
the right hand of the Father.
When the two
witnesses, along with the Church are raptured, special revelation of Jesus to
the end of time ends, and for this reason, the woman is not seen more in
heaven:
•
"And the woman fled
into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days." (Rev
12.6).
In the 70th week
there will be three types of individuals in Israel:
•
Those who will convert before the rapture: the 144,000
are sealed (Rev 7.3,4).
•
Those who will convert after the rapture;
•
Those who will not convert, but will be followers of
the beast.
The 144,000
sealed shall be sent to the wilderness of all nations (see Ezek 20.35) to
proclaim to the Gentiles His character and His presence. When terminating the
1,260 days, they are raptured.
•
"And
I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto
the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to
Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame,
neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles." (Isaiah 66.19).
It is about these
that is being treated here in Revelation 12.6. These Israelites are being
persecuted for their faith and also suffering by their relatives and dear
friends that cannot be converted.
When all 144,000
Israelites have been sealed in their foreheads, i.e., when the two witnesses
have shed their golden olive oil (Zech 4.12-14), so that they
will be converted to Jesus, believing that it is not by force or violence (see Isa 2.6.7; Dan 12.7; Zech
4.6), but it is in our weakness that the power of the
Eternal perfected (Rom 8.18;
2Cor 4.10,11,16,17; 12.9,10), then the trumpets begin to be
touched (note how the
earth, the sea and the trees will only be damaged by warnings of trumpets after
seal the 144,000 - Rev 7.3).
When the seventh
trumpet sounds:
1. There
will be war in heaven between Miguel And Ha-Satan (Revelation 12.7-12);
2. Ha-Satan
and his angels will be thrown to the earth (Revelation 6.13 - the only stars that are in
heaven, spiritually speaking, are those who apostatized of Faith (Lk 16.15). Who
belongs to Christ shines here on earth);
3. Begin
the the second half of the 70th week;
4. The
Antichrist will break the agreement with Israel;
5. The
two witnesses will arise after three and a half days (perhaps this be the
period of duration of the war between Michael and Ha-Satan;
6. The
two witnesses, together with the whole Church, will be caught up (1Cor 15.52; 1Thes 4.16).
7. Israel
will be forced to take refuge in the wilderness (Matthew 24.16-18) for a time,
times and half a time.
The escape to
the Desert remembers:
•
The pilgrimages by Israel in the wilderness: "And
thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty
years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what
was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no." (Deut 8.2).
•
The
escapes of Elijah:
o
"And
the word of the LORD came unto him, saying," (1Kings
17.2).
o
"And
when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to
Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there." (1Kings 19.3).
•
Leakage of Mary and Joseph to Egypt: "And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to
Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and
flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek
the young child to destroy him.". (Matt
2.13).
•
Escape of the Israelites who will convert to Christ
after the rapture: " But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth
understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:" (Mark 13.14).
The desert is a
place of retreat and safety:
•
"And
I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to
cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep
in the woods.” (Ezek 34.25).
It is the place
where, many times, the Eternal speaks to his people:
•
"Therefore,
behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak
comfortably unto her." (Hosea 2.14).
In fact, being
in the desert with Christ is better than being in Canaan. After all, while the
people of Israel was in the wilderness, they were fed supernaturally with manna
and water from the rock, which only brought benefits to the body (without any contra-indication). After
entering into Canaan, they had to return to depend on the fruit of the
earth (Joshua
5.11,12), in addition to having to fight against the enemies.
Urges emphasize
the differences between Revelation 12.6 and Revelation 12.14:
|
Revelation 12.6 |
Revelation 12.14 |
|
Here there is a place prepared for the woman for the
Eternal |
Here the desert is the place of woman. |
|
Here the time is 1,260 days. |
Here the term used is time, times and half a time. |
Here the desert is
the place prepared by the Eternal for the 10 virgins of Israel who came out of
Jerusalem to meet the Bridegroom. It is clear that the desert is not the place
for the 5 wise virgins. It is only a temporary refuge. When the 1260 days
finish, end the provision of the Eternal and for three and a half days, they
have to stay trusting that Jesus comes.
But, just like
Saul unbelieved in the last few minutes (1Sam 13.8-10) and people
of Israel who came out of Egypt murmured by the lack of water after three days
of the parting of the Red Sea, in the course of these three and a half days,
the fool virgins will try to obtain worldly provision, losing the time of the
rapture (this reminds
when Elijah said to Elisha, that if he could not see the Eternal take him to heaven,
he (Elisha) not receive a double portion of the Holy Spirit – 2Kings 2.9,10).
•
"And to the woman
were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness,
into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time,
from the face of the serpent." (Rev
12.14)
Here, however,
we can see what happens after the first 1,260 days, when the
Antichrist breaks the agreement with Israel (Dan 9.27) and go to
destroy Jerusalem (Rev 17.16). He
first surround the city, which should serve as a signal to the Jews flee
away (Matt
24.15-20; Lk 21.20-23). Two-thirds of the Israelites will die (Zech 13.8,9).
A third,
however, will be able to escape. It is about these which refers Revelation
12.14. They will gather the five fool virgin, now in place that belongs to
them. After all, for those who do not believe in Jesus, the desert is the place
that really belongs to them.
The proof of
this is that the beast of the sea will be in the wilderness loading Israel (the
Great Babylon) on their backs (Rev 17.3).
Babylon was called the desert of the sea (Isaiah 21.1).
This Israel
who was not faithful to Jesus, but who will believe Him when they see Him (Zech 12.10-14) (namely, the
faithful remnant - Rom 9.27), for not having believed without
seeing, do not receive the blessedness of the wedding feast of the Lamb (the glorification of the body - John
20.29). The rightful place is the same as that of the Great
Babylon, differentiating only by the fact that, after, they enter in the
realm of the Eternal, but with the same body.
Finally,
after the destruction of Jerusalem, a terrible persecution will happen:
•
"And when the
dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which
brought forth the man child." (Rev
12.13)
Those who escape
the desolation which shall be brought by the Antichrist (Zechariah 14.1),
will take refuge in the wilderness with the help of the Eternal.
The Eternal is
known to bring their children as an eagle does with its offspring:
•
"Ye
have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles'
wings, and brought you unto myself." (Exodus 19.4).
•
"And
Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot
against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with
great power, and with a mighty hand? Wherefore should the Egyptians speak,
and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and
to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and
repent of this evil against thy people." (Deut
32.11,12).
To help Israel
to escape, the Eternal will give them "wings of a great eagle",
i.e., something that will allow them to move fast to their place. The
curious thing is that the Babylon and Egypt were compared to
eagle (Ezek 17.3,7). And
whereas Jerusalem is Babylon the Great, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt (Rev 11.18), therefore
they receive this same training given to Babylon and Egypt, but in a manner
similar to the way that the Eternal led the Israelites out of Egypt: As an
eagle that takes his sons on the wings (Exodus 19.4; Deut 32.11).
The leak of
the Israelites came about because of the apostasy and transgression that took
account of Jerusalem (see Dan
8.12). However, only those that wait upon the LORD shall
renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they will
run and not be weary; walk, and not faint (Isa 40.31). As they did
not develop this intimacy with the Eternal, they cannot use well this gift that
He gives them.
Result:
•
“And the serpent cast out of his mouth
water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of
the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth,
and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth." (Rev 12.15,16).
In the testament
of the Law, flood had to do with invasion of enemy peoples:
•
"Let
not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not
the pit shut her mouth upon me." (Psalm 69.15).
•
"Thou
carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they
are like grass which groweth up." (Psalm
90.5).
•
"And
after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:
and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the
sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end
of the war desolations are determined." (Dan
9.26).
•
"And
with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be
broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.” (Dan
11.22)
•
"So
shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the
rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the
LORD shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah
59.19).
•
"Who
is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the
rivers?" (Jer 46.7).
•
"And
the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt,
and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a
flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt." (Amos 9.5).
•
"Thus
saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an
overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the
city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the
inhabitants of the land shall howl." (Jer 47.2).
•
"Who
is this that cometh up as a flood, whose waters are moved as the
rivers? Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like
the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will
destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof." (Jer
46.7,8).
•
"Now
therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river,
strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he
shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks: and
he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even
to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy
land, O Immanuel." (Isaiah 8.7,8).
•
"The
words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of
wisdom as a flowing brook." (Prov 18.4).
In Revelation
17.15 it is said that waters are many peoples.
Therefore,
Ha-Satan, with his mouth will convince multitudes to persecute Israel. For both
he will tell that they were the guilt ones for all the calamities that befell
the land, as well as for the lost of the loved relatives (at the rapture).
Note how the nations rage themselves (Rev 11.18), to the point
of blaspheming the Eternal (Rev 16.11).
Result: Ha-Satan
launches this river of people against the Israelites.
Fortunately, the
Eternal helps your:
•
"If
it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against
us: then
they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: then the waters had overwhelmed us, the
stream had gone over our soul: then the proud waters had gone over our soul." (Ps 124.2-5).
•
"He
sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters." (Psalm 18.16).
•
"So
shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the
rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the
LORD shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah
59.19).
For this, He
will use the nature. It is good to remember that nature helps
christianity revealing that:
1. There
is God. All Nature proclaims not only the existence of the Eternal, but also
their personality, unity, spirituality, wisdom, goodness and power (Rom 1.20);
2. There
is a law. For every thing in nature, there is a law that governs. Those
who do not respect the laws of nature suffers penalties;
3. There
is mediation. The principle of mediation can be seen throughout nature. An
element or an agent serves the others and some other party;
4. There
is responsibility. Throughout the world, each one is responsible for
something, as well as by the actions it takes;
5. There
is a mystery. All along the nature, there are obscure points that science
cannot explain;
6. There
is a moral. In nature we see sense of:
a.
Dependency (Job
38.39-41);
b. Reverence.
The weaker specimens respect the stronger;
c. Contrition. The
nature groans and is in pain of childbirth until now (Romans 8.19-22).
d.
Praise. Heaven and earth praise the
Creator: "I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous
works." (Ps 145.10).
7. There
are several inventions (or
expressions of art, if you prefer):
a. Press: "For the invisible
things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood
by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that
they are without excuse:" (Rom 1.20).
b. Painting: "The heavens declare
the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” (Psalm 19.1).
c. Music: for
example, the song of the birds.
d. Government:
the majority of the swarm, there is a leader.
e.
Education: "Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge." (Psalm 19.2).
The Eternal uses
nature to help Israel:
•
"And
his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is
before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst
thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very
great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half
of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the
mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall
flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of
Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee." (Zechariah 14.4,5).
That is to say,
first the Israelites flee into the wilderness. There the Eternal enters into
contention with them through Ha-Satan and his beast. Urges stress that the
Eternal said He would do with them as happened at the time of Egypt.
Because of a
famine that was in the land of Canaan, they had to flee to Egypt. There the
Eternal entered into contention with them by Pharaoh, until they decided to cry
out to Him (Exodus 2.23). The
Eternal, then, uses Moses to deliver them. When the army of pharaoh pursues
Israel, the Eternal uses Moses to open the Red Sea and they pass by the
"Vale" forming between the two mountains of Waters (Exodus 14.22).
After Israel to pass, the sea bury all the Egyptians (Exodus 15.4,5).
Now history will
repeat itself. Ha-Satan, then, will lead the antichrist to break his
covenant with Israel. The Israelites finally seeing the error committed to
electing the antichrist as their king. It begins a chase to this remnant.
Israel will flee
into the wilderness. To expedite their escape, the Eternal will use the
wings of a great eagle (Great
Babylon), i.e., will uses people to facilitate the escape of
them (as if it
were being fulfilled the promise of Isaiah 60.4,9; 66.20),
namely, the sheep of (Matthew 25.34-46 – who aren’t Israelite that will see the
truth only when the antichrist proclaim himself god – 2Thess 2.4).
Jesus, on the
Mount of Olives, will promote the division of mount into two parts (Zechariah 14.4).
After the remainder have passed through the valley that was formed (Zechariah 14.5), the
Mount of Olives, then, will bury the whole army of the antichrist.
Ha-Satan,
outraged by the fact of Jesus have sent an earthquake in order that the Mount
of Olives split itself in half and allow Israel to escape, resolves to pursue
all who are His sons.
•
"And the dragon was
wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which
keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Rev 12.17).
It starts a
massive persecution to all who believe in Jesus.
In face of this
passage, it is clear that the whole episode of Revelation 12 serves as an
illustration for the destruction of Jerusalem which occurred in 70 A.D. Hence
the similarity when reporting the destruction that occurred in 70 A.D. (Lk 21.20-24) and
that will happen soon through the Messiah elected by the majority of Israelites
(the
Antichrist - Matt 24.15-22).
Those who
believe are characterized by two things:
•
Keep the commandments of the Eternal, namely:
o
"By
this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to
another. Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus
answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow
me afterwards." (John 13.34,35).
•
Have the testimony of Jesus Christ, i.e., the Holy
Spirit:
o
"This
is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water
only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness,
because the Spirit is truth." (1 John 5.6)
o
"And
I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it
not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of
Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." (Rev 19.10).
Comes the question: how
Ha-Satan came down to the earth?
•
"And there was war
in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon
fought and his angels," (Rev 12.7).
We can find, in
the Testament of the Law, references of spiritual warfare:
•
"Thou
didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in
the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and
gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness." (Psalm 74.13,14).
•
"In
that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish
leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he
shall slay the dragon that is in the sea." (Isaiah
27.1).
•
"Awake,
awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in
the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and
wounded the dragon?" (Isaiah 51.9).
It's also good
to observe that the name Michael means "Who is like the Eternal?", a
contrast to the cry of the populace without Jesus:
•
"And
they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped
the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?" (Rev
13.4).
Many mistakenly
think that Michael is Jesus because he has his angels. However, Ha-Satan also
does not have his angels (Rev 12.7)? So
why Michael may not have?
In addition,
this is a battle between equals. There would be no sense Jesus do battle
with the dragon, since He is the Almighty God, and thus has no opponent match.
Nothing and nobody is a threat to Him. Everything and everyone is already
subject to Him (Psalm 24.1).
On the other
hand, a battle between two angelic heads, it makes sense.
Comes the
question: if the sky is a paradise, a place of peace, how is it possible
that there is war there? Have you ever thought that confusion would be if,
when we die, we all went to the place where are the angels? On the one hand, Ha-Satan
and his demons accusing the followers of Christ. Another, Jesus justifying the
Church before His angels. And in the midst of this, all saved would be participating
in this debate and remembering everything that happened. In the end, everyone
would be restless as the souls of Rev 6.9-11.
However, in
the third heaven are just the angels. To the right of the Eternal are
His angels and on the left, Ha-Satan and his demons (see 1Kings 22.19).
Note how Ha-Satan accuses the followers of the Eternal day and night (Rev 12.11),
which can be seen in Job (Job 1.6-11;
2.1-6) and in the vision of Zechariah (where Ha-Satan appears to the
right of the high priest Joshua to oppose it, since he also walks in our
Prowls - Zech 3.1.2; 1Pet 5.8,9).
Not to mention
the fight between Michael And Ha-Satan the body of Moses:
•
"Yet
Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the
body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The
Lord rebuke thee." (Jude 9).
It is in vain
that Paul said: our battle is against spiritual hosts of wickedness
in heavenly places (Eph 6.12). For
you to be sure that what happens in the spiritual world affects our lives, see
this:
•
"Then
said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set
thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words
were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of
Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief
princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia." (Dan 10.12,13).
Note that,
although the response of the Eternal was sent to Daniel as soon as he prayed,
he was only to receive a response after 21 days because a demon was preventing
the angel to arrive with the answer.
Comes the
question: how is the battle between the angels and demons? Many think
it is physics: on the one hand, the angels with drawn swords of fire, the other
Ha-Satan and his demons with tridents.
No! All the
spiritual battle has to do with the correct mode of worship to the Eternal
and do what pleases Him. When Ha-Satan and his demons rebelled, two things
were for him questioned:
1. The
reason for the Eternal being the leader. For them, it was possible something
work without being bound to the Eternal;
2. The
reason for all have to be substantiated in Holy Scripture. For them, it is
possible to something to give certain without following the principles of Sacred
Scripture.
The world, then,
was created so that, through His Church, the Eternal could make known His
manifold wisdom and grace:
•
"For
I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to
death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men." (1 Corinthians 4.9).
•
"Unto
me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I
should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; and
to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which
from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by
Jesus Christ: to the intent that now unto the
principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the
church the manifold wisdom of God," (Eph 3.8-10).
•
"Wherefore
seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us
lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and
let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured
the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne
of God." (Hebrews
12.1,2).
So much so that
the angels ardently want to pay attention to what the Eternal expresses through
his Church:

"Of
which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who
prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: ssearching what, or what manner of time
the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified
beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow." (1 Peter 1.10-12).
Indeed, that is why
the angel of the Eternal encamps himself around those who fear Him, and
delivers them (Psalms 34.7).
Finally, the
Eternal uses His Church to reveal the entire spiritual world. When, finally, no
more doubt remains as to the perfection of the Eternal and His Word, there is
no more place to Ha-Satan and his demons in the sky.
•
"And prevailed not;
neither was their place found any more in heaven." (Rev 12.8).
That is to say,
when the person really is convinced of everything that Jesus is, there is no
more space for the accusations of Ha-Satan and his angels. It isn’t in vain
that the Church will be raptured after the gospel of the kingdom of Eternal
have been preached in all the world for a witness to all the nations (Matt 24.14). The
Bride is snatched when everything that the Eternal had to show about Himself
through Her (see Ezek
16.14) is fulfilled. Once the Bride is fully clothed
with the righteousness of Jesus (which He operated through His saints - Phil 2.12,13;
Rev 19.8), it may occupy their place in heaven.
From then
on, the only place that will be left to Ha-Satan will be the
land and the sea (Rev 12.12).
Also, note that it is said that Ha-Satan came down to them. Therefore, though
Michael with his angels have literally kicked Ha-Satan from heaven, he himself
had already decided to get out of there after knowing that he would be forced
to see all the perfection of love of Jesus in the Bride. It was extremely
painful for him to stay there seeing this, even more realizing that the
perfection of Jesus and His Word was seen by all the angels, so there is no
more place to doubts in their hearts.
Indeed, every
time that the Kingdom of Eternal is manifest in the life of someone, Ha-Satan
drops, since your employment of promoter against the Eternal has no more
place (associate Lk
10.9 with Lk 10.18) (many consider Jesus as the unjust judge - Lk 18.7,8).
After all, in which many go to the Eternal considering themselves in the right
to receive something, they are accusing him of unjust judge (even more considering the
apparent disadvantage among his sons and the sons of darkness - see Matthew
10.16).
Once that the
basis of the accusation of Ha-Satan fall to the earth, he is cast out in order
to give place to the Church, which soon will be raptured (three and a half days after the
first half of the 70th week).
He then gets
stuck on earth:
•
"And the great dragon was cast out,
that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he
was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." (Rev 12.9).
The idea
was to show to John and all the afflicted who offers wealth and prosperity in
the world: the "god of the desert", namely, Ha-Satan (note he offered the world to
Jesus - Matt 4.8,9). Jesus promises the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 6.19-21), and
the eternal life (who is Himself
- John 17. 3).
Therefore,
when we go to someone, we must be willing to receive what the Eternal wants
to give us through the person, and not what we expect to. True prayer come from
inside us. If the person has no part in us, then our prayer has no effect.
Finally,
the struggles are not proof of abandonment of the Eternal, but His
approval. Every effort of Ha-Satan is to lead people to go astray from the
Creator (for example,
leading them to be at the apex of this world - in contrast with Lk 16.15).
When Paul says that the Eternal wants to make us stars in the
world (Phil
2.14,15), the way this happens is conquering the world with
faith (1 John 5.3),
i.e., renouncing our life in order that Jesus lives in us (2Cor 4.10,11; Gal 2,20). It is
not fixed in heaven in evidence as a kite whose string has not been cut.
Rather, it is getting free to the action of the Holy Spirit (John 3.8), so
that He can take us to where He wants us.
As the serpent
in Eden, lost feet and wings, Ha-Satan will lose access to heavenly
regions. Please note that Ha-Satan is presented as the great dragon, ancient
serpent, the devil and Satan. What
this means?
·
The
great dragon ->
·
"In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall
punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and
he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea." (Isaiah 27.1).
·
"Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against
thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his
rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it
for myself." (Ezekiel 29.3).
·
"Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say
unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a
whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the
waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers." (Ezekiel 32:2).
Note
how the dragon is always associated with one who has dominion over the waters,
as if they were his, and may do with them what he wanted: for example hurt them
and dirty them.
•
"And the
dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her
seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus
Christ." (Rev 12.17).
As a
dragon, Ha-Satan tries to make people think that they are
righteous and are always certain. He is the one who soiled the human
being with all sorts of desires and addictions in order to be able to use them
to fight against all who oppose them.
Dragon
is a symbol of all the power that it is possible to be
conquered through what exists in this world and that, apparently, allows us
to keep everything and everyone under control. Even if this means transforming
leaders and people (they make
the image of the Beast – Rev 13.14) in
irrational beasts (2Pet 2.12;
Jude 10);
·
Old Serpent ->
Ha-Satan is one that uses the shrewdness of this world (Gen 3.1; 1 Corinthians 3.18-20) to make
the people to go crazy, so that they come to interpret Holy Scripture with
concepts and wrong values and, thus, to seek wisdom and success in this world;
It is
true that he is called "father of lies" and "murderer" from
the beginning (John 8.44).
Note, however, that he did not kill anyone in Eden and even lied in the
sense of giving wrong information (Gen 3.4,5). Analyze calmly
everything that he spoke and you will see that everything he said was true.
The
problem with the statements of Ha-Satan is that they are not grounded in
Christ (which is the
truth is the Life - John 14.6). Although it may work,
physically speaking, it does not produce any spiritual result. It doesn’t
builds the character of anyone inside, since this only happens
from the moment that individuals are integrated directly to our hearts through
Jesus and His Word.
As
well as the Eternal, being holy, can only be adored in spirit (life) and in
truth (John 4.24), our
spirit (life) can
only be built with the spirit of other individuals living in us through the
Holy Spirit and His Word.
In
other words, any correct information that does not have to do with
Jesus and the work He has for us, it is sterile (without life) and false (always the target of
contradictions, questioning and imbalance: benefits only one side).
·
Devil -> Ha-Satan is one who
strives for "justice", but from the point of view of the world.
As
the devil, Ha-Satan is the accuser who accuses individuals day and night in the
presence of the Eternal (Rev 12.10).
Comes the question: how Ha-Satan accuses someone day and night, being that he
is not omnipresent and omniscient? He has more to do.
Although
he use his demons, there is a more effective way to do this: sowing hatred in
the hearts of individuals. In this case when such an individual to pray, he
will speak evil of them to the Eternal and ask Him for revenge (under the label of justice).
Even
more: whereas when someone lies to the Church of the Eternal is, in fact, lying
to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5.3,9),
when someone speaks ill of the brother to others, they are, in fact, accusing
the individual before the Eternal.
In
addition, he is all the time questioning the effectiveness of Jesus and His Word,
taking as basis the behavior of His Church (John 1.6-12; 2.1-7), as well as
what we suffer. In other words, Ha-Satan is accusing the Eternal
Himself to be a tyrant, intransigent, unfair, stingy and apathetic based on the
behavior of each others.
·
Satan -> opponent, i.e., one that leads people
to seek in Christ only on the things of this world (Matt 16.24).
Note
what Jesus said to Peter: "... to Get thee behind me, Satan, that thou
savorest not the things that be of God, but only those that are of
men." (Matt 16.23).
That is, every one who preaches the gospel with a focus on the prosperity of
this world is transforming the individuals in the most miserable of
creatures (see 1
Corinthians 15.19).
For
this he deforms the character of the Creator to induce people to join the
success in this world with the approval of the Eternal. Ha-Satan uses even the
goodwill of many to lead them to seek to make this a better world.
·
He who deceives the whole world (Jn 8.44). That
is to say, he is who leads people to seek, in the wisdom of this world,
the solution of their problems. Although many times such knowledge work, only
brings benefit in this life and only outwardly.
As
you can see, the role of Ha-Satan is deceiving the whole world, of the most
diverse forms. Fortunately, with the expulsion of Ha-Satan of heaven,
something wonderful happens:
•
"And I heard a loud
voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of
our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast
down, which accused them before our God day and night." (Rev 12.10).
Arrived:
•
The salvation. But we all do not
become saved by believing in Jesus (see John 5.24; Col 3.1-3)? Yes, but the
salvation is only complete when we receive the glorified body. Only
with the truth confirmed is that it will be possible the expulsion of
Ha-Satan so that the Church may occupy her place there.
It was not the salvation won
in the world (which
translates to establish laws to force people to do right, so that each one may
be surrounded only pleasant things and circumstances). The
true salvation comes from Jesus, which consists in leaving the Eternal use
our life so that people will be saved from sin.
Think about how the human
being became complicated: all animals, even without work, end up having what
they need to live. Despite all the greed of the human being, they have managed
to survive until today. Already the human being, what difficulty he has in
obtaining the food!!!
•
The strength (power). Is
it means that, before, the Eternal had no strength? He had. However, such
force was not always seen in the Church. On the contrary: it was a huge amount
of brothers in Christ who sinned and failed as a pillar and bulwark of the
truth (1 Tim 3.15). Now,
with the raptured Church, the Eternal can send their vials of wrath and show
the difference between who serves to Him and who does not (Mal 3.18).
The true source of strength of
Jesus is not what we can achieve here from the resources that there is in this
world, but what is possible to be conquered internally as a
result of the virtue of the Eternal acting in us;
•
The Kingdom Of Our God. In contrast with
the kingdom of this world. That is to say, when Jesus says to seek the kingdom
of God and His righteousness, is saying to seek the place where Jesus reigns
absolute, namely, where are your subjects whose justice is not signed into law
to ensure rights in this world (as
supposedly sorts the Ten Commandments), but laws which
give conditions for Jesus to advocate our cause (1John 2.1,2), i.e.,
give us what He won for us on the cross (to fill our inner).
Although the Eternal will always be
the King of kings, the impression is that those who reigns over the Church is
Ha-Satan with his cursed system (see Hebrews 2.8).
However, from the rapture, the world with their wiles will not affect
more the Church. The Kingdom of Eternal will be clearly seen on His Church.
Not to mention that, from this
moment on, it will happen the direct intervention of Jesus in this world (through the bowls)
until His kingdom was established and confirmed forever.
•
The authority of His Christ. Even
though all authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth since His
ascension (Matt 28.18), this
authority will only be seen more visible from the expulsion of Ha-Satan.
From then on, no more doubts
that it is impossible for this world to be successful, unless Jesus reign in
person (in contrast
with the request of the jews in Lk 19.14 and with the authority of the dragon -
Rev 13.2).
Comes
the question: why all this? Because the accuser was expelled. And because he
was expelled? Because, now, in possession of all the revelation of the
Eternal, there isn’t more opportunity to Ha-Satan try the angels. There is no more gap for prosecution.
•
"And they overcame
him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they
loved not their lives unto the death." (Rev
12.11).
What
is the nature of this battle? Sure there isn’t physical, inasmuch as Michael didn’t
dare to speak judgment against Ha-Satan (Jude 9). It is a spiritual warfare (in understanding, about the
concepts and values of Holy Scripture - see 2Cor 10.3-6).
Comes
the question: why does the dragon and his angels could not prevail?
•
"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and
strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the
accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and
night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of
their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore
rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of
the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great
wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Rev 12.10-12).
Simple:
because the faithful in Jesus managed to prevail against the dragon and his
angels (note how
these demons were angels in the past). The heavenly
victory is bonded to what Jesus
makes here on earth through His sons.
In
other words, it is the victory of believers in Christ who fills the heaven of
joy (cf. Lk
15.7,10; Rev 12.12) and gives conditions for that Michael and his
angels win and expel Ha-Satan who accuses them day and night before the
Creator (Rev 12.10).
The
members of the Church will win because they’ll allow Christ to live His
life on them, and thus they’ll proclaim salvation through the whole
Gentile world (even if that
cost the lives of them). The angels, by their turn, will win
precisely by the fact of the Church have won.
But,
what caused the Church to win?
•
The basis: not loving their own life. They
loved not their lives in this world, but will understand that they will be in
this world only to confirm the Word of the Eternal and manifest His glory by
wherever the Eternal lead them. The pleasure of them was that the largest
number of individuals could see, in live, Jesus to show His salvation (Psalm 35.9; 78.22; Isaiah 25.9).
•
Middle: the blood of Christ; they’ll
win because they’ll allow that Jesus live His sacrificial
life in them (see 1Pet
5.8,9). They believed in Jesus crucified (1 Cor 2.1,2).
•
Instrument: the testimony
of Jesus is the Holy Spirit (Rev 19.10) that
confirms the Word of Christ (John
16.13,14). It is the Holy Spirit fulfilled in us the Word of
the Eternal which leads us to overcome the world (1 John 5.4). The
word of their testimony is the sword of the Spirit, which is the word that
proceeds from the mouth of the Eternal.
•
"Therefore rejoice,
ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the
earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath,
because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Rev 12.12).
When Ha-Satan
have been expelled, both heaven and all that dwell therein (the angels) no
longer will have to be listening to the intrigues of Ha-Satan and his
followers. The end of all doubt about Christ and His Word is a reason of
extreme joy.
On
the other hand, for those who are at sea (Gentile Empire) and
earth (Empire of
Israel), will come great tribulation, since Ha-Satan and
his demons were condemned to live in the same space that them. For Israel,
however, will there be help for the remainder (one who is found written in the
book of life):
·
"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which
standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and
at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found
written in the book." (Dan
12.1).
The same Miguel
who fought against Ha-Satan, stand up in favor of the people of Israel. It
is when, then, happen the deliverances described in Revelation 12.13-17.
