WHO'S BEING
UNJUST WITH WHO?
We accuse others of being unjust to us because
they robbed us of some physical good, but we are being much more unjust by
depriving them of the spiritual good that is theirs right (after all,
Jesus died to call sinners to repentance - Matt 9.12,13). Jesus already ordained His love for them in us
(Psalms 23: 6),
and this is what all creation expects of the children of the Eternal (Rom.
8:19-22). Jesus has already enabled
us to help them in their afflictions and besiege of Ha-Satan (1Peter
5:8,9). But, instead of
humiliating ourselves beyond what we were humbled (1Peter
5:5-7) and set ourselves up to
give to the individual more than he hoped to wrench from us (Matt
5:38-42), we resented and resisted
the goodness and mercy of the Spirit of Jesus in us (see John
15:9; Rom 11.22).
The only reason Jesus allows anyone to sin
against us is because He can show himself to the person through us (see Matt 9.12,13). Therefore, when we resent someone, we are, in
fact, rebelling against Jesus. After all, it was He who gave us such a mission.
Hence Jesus said:
•
"Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto
him, through whom they come! It were better for him
that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than
that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves: If thy
brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent,
forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven
times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent;
thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our
faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain
of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine
tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it
should obey you. But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle,
will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to
meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready
wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and
drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank
that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those
things which are commanded you, say, We are
unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do."(Luke 17:1-10).
•
"For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the
righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the
kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:20).
When we prosecute or desire evil to somebody,
even if we are right, we are, in essence, ministering the lie. As one is only
freed when truth is manifest (John 8:32) (namely, the truth which is real in us and which the
neighbor needs to hear and see), such a posture only leaves the individual even more trapped in the
evil within him. That is, because of the misery that has taken hold of our
hearts for we expect in Christ only in the things of this world (1 Cor.
15:19), many individuals have
left our presence with even greater faith in the power of the wickedness.
By the way, the reason that two individuals do
not agree is precisely because the truth was not manifest. Otherwise the
darkness would be cast out (2Cor 6:14-18) or enlightened (we can’t forget that Jesus is the
truth - John 14:6),
both parties coming to feel and think the same thing (1Cor 1:10). We cannot forget our role of being the light
of the world (Matt 5:14-16) in Christ (John 8:12; 9:5).
The Favor of the Eternal teaches us that we must
pay for the evil that the other has done. I know this sounds strange, since the
Holy Scripture says that the soul that sins will die (Eze 8.4,20). Especially considering that:
•
"He that justifieth the
wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they
both are abomination to the LORD." (Proverbs 17:15).
But think, is not this what the Lord has done for
us? We have sinned, but Jesus died. Hence you see how the way of the Eternal
exercising justice is different from ours. Jesus received the punishment that
was for us (Isa 53:4-6) so that we could trust Him to the point of condemning
our ego to death and thus He could live in us. That is, instead of living alone
in His body, Jesus preferred to give all the wealth of this world in exchange
for living in the eternal tabernacles of those who believed in Him (see Luke
16.9).
This is what Jesus did and commanded us: to make
of His life our drink and His body mistreated by sinners our food (John
6:51-57; 1Peter 2:21-24), just as we love exactly this way that He loved us (John
13:34-35), that we would live by Him
(1 John 4:9),
that we would do the same works (John 14:12, 1 John 2: 6). For example:
•
"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they
know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots." (Luke 23:34).
It’s worth to question: is there anything that
justifies the practice of evil? Why does one have more right to life or some
benefit than another? Which is more important: the works, the goods or the
individuals?
Many times we pass over others or despise them
because we ignore the plan of the Eternal and their utility on this plane. Of
course, no one who is a slave of sin has any real use (Rom 3.9-18). Yet, what few know is that the real evil in
our lives is within us and the evil of every day (Matt. 6:34) is intended to give opportunity for the Favor
of the Eternal to give us the right confidence in Jesus and thereby save us
from ourselves. (Eph 2: 8-9). That is, we help our neighbor, not because of
what he has to offer, but because it is through him that Jesus operates his
good will in us, which leads us to grow, whether in the mind, in the feeling or
in the spirit.
IT’S WORTH TO
LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE, TO NOT SUFFER EVIL, WE HAVE TO DO EVIL?
Besides, what sense does it have to live in a
world where something only works if it is driven by the fuel of evil? Where one
good thing is done only for fear of punishment? Where somebody only receive
something from others through violence or seduction?
Furthermore, think: what real victory can we
achieve if, to put an end to evil, we have to use evilness? In this case, what
was proved was the efficacy of evil and, with it, fear. Considering that the
one who fears cannot be perfected in love (1 John. 4:18), soon this world will be formed of obligations
and rights without meaning.
Why is it easier to believe in the power of evil
than in the power of godliness (2 Tim. 3.5)? Why is it necessary to have agents prepared and
equipped to do evil (the legal and police force) so that society can exist? Is it only possible
to do good by being pressed by evil or under threat of evil? If this is true,
life has no worth and all that Jesus did on the cross was in vain. The Eternal
turns out to be evil or impotent (seeing that, apparently, He
doesn’t anything about it) and love, mere utopia.
And the worst of it is that anyone who allows
himself to be imprisoned by this sense of justice (which in the
eyes of the Eternal is a rag of filth - Is 64.6) becomes incapable of submitting to the justice of the
Eternal (Rom. 10.3) and ends up distancing himself from His Favor (Gal 5.4). After all, while His Favor seeks to enable us
to surrender our rights so that others can be saved (and we may
have rights in them before Jesus - Isa 49:4), the law seeks to ensure that others are not saved
from granting our rights.
But think: is it worth living by running away
from evil or struggling to keep it away (as Job did – Job 3:25-26)? Is it not possible in Christ to triumph over
evil? If it is not, then all that Christ did on the cross is meaningless, and
the gospel that we are believing and following is a great lie (see Proverbs
16: 7, Isa 41:17,18; Rev 21:24-27). The truth is that evil only prevails when we allow it to come to life
in us and guide us (Gen 4:7; Psalms 107: 33-43), when we give up the good (Gal 6:9).
Why do we insist on standing against Jesus (turning away
from His love and Word - Matt. 12:30), trying to do justice with our own hands or using the
hands of others (of those who take pleasure in the suffering of
others, as with majority of members of the juridical and police system)? If neither the archangel Michael (Jude 9), one of the first heavenly princes (Dan 10.13) dared to pronounce judgment against Ha-Satan,
is because this can compromise our salvation (note that Judas was dealing with
this matter by quoting verse 9 - Jude 3) .
And the reason for this is simple: never the
wrath of man (James 1:20) or any other creature is capable of producing the
justice of the Eternal. Even if physical benefits can be attained by forcing
someone to good, they will not provide any spiritual transformation; rather,
only faith in Ha-Satan and his weapons, namely: prosecution (injustice) and opposition (authoritarianism).
To illustrate what happens when there is only
physical liberation, at the time King Cyrus issued the decree allowing all
Israelites to return to Jerusalem to build the temple (Ezra 1.2.3), only a small part returned. Most preferred to
be a slave in Babylon to be free in Jerusalem. And even those who returned,
instead of committing themselves to rebuilding the temple and restoring
worship, preferred to build their homes and live their selfishness, using the
opposition of their opponents (Ezra 4:4) as an excuse to say that the time to build the temple of the Eternal
didn’t have arrived (Haggai 1.9). They did not
think like David:
•
"Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my
house, nor go up into my bed; I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to
mine eyelids, until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the
mighty God of Jacob.” (Sl 132.3-5).
It is quite true that Ha-Satan was opposing
Joshua the priest (Zec 3:1). However, what was the use of simply rebuking
Ha-Satan when there was no love and zeal for the Eternal in the hearts of the
Israelites? Hence the importance of the Eternal Himself to rebuke. The question
is not whether or not we have authority, whether we are right or not. Unless
the Eternal makes His voice heard, even though the individuals around us seek
the Eternal in response to our ministry, they will still be seeking the wrong
god (having a wrong view of who Jesus is) or seek Jesus for the wrong motive (as lover of
Christ, rather than bride). They will be doing our will, following our God, being our image and
likeness rather than knowing the true God, and then following and doing what
the Eternal put in their hearts (after the Eternal works His will
in their hearts, they will no longer follow an alien god, but Emanuel - Matt
1:23; Phil 2:12-13).
TO RESIST THE
AUTHORITY IS TO RESIST THE ETERNAL
And that's not all! Have you ever thought that
by resisting an authority you are resisting the Eternal Himself (Rom. 13:2)? After all, no one can have anything that,
first of all, is not given to him from heaven (John 3:27). Jesus Himself told Pilate that he only had
power to crucify or release Him because the Father granted him such power (John
19:10,11). Since ALL authority was
ordained by the Eternal (Rom. 13:1), then whoever resists authority will go to condemn (Rom. 13:2).
You may ask: But what about the Antichrist? Do
we have to submit to him? If the archangel Michael was subjected to Ha-Satan
instead of judging him, then what is left for us? I know this sounds strange,
but think: when you submit to someone who is in the service of Ha-Satan,
indirectly you are subjecting yourself to Ha-Satan as well. Therefore, if your
master or spouse is not serving Jesus, indirectly you are subjecting yourself
to Ha-Satan (see 1Cor 7:2-35).
Moreover, do not forget that, first of all, the
whole apocalypse was designed and maintained by the Eternal:
•
"And for this cause God
shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they
all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness."(2 Thessalonians 2:11,12).
•
"For God hath put in their hearts to
fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until
the words of God shall be fulfilled." (Rev. 17:17).
Note that the ten world leaders will only get
the same idea, so that they will give the beast their kingdom because the
Eternal will have it in their hearts. That is, neither hell with all its
effectiveness is capable of promoting such cohesion of thought. In other words,
all prophecy concerning the beast will not be able to materialize, unless the
Eternal intervenes PERSONALLY supernaturally. And He does so because everything
is His design to fulfill His words. That is, Ha-Satan, not even in all its
effectiveness is capable of deceiving and seducing all at the same time.
Finally, no matter how terrible can be the
action of Ha-Satan, the antichrist and the false prophet with all his minions,
even thus we cannot think of building an armed army to try to defeat these
forces, not even try to circumvent the mark of Beast with the excuse it is to
feed us (as some evangelical apocalyptic films show). Doing this is consciously fighting against the
Eternal and His Word (Rom. 13:5).
The correct thing is to submit to the antichrist
by abdicating the right to buy and sell to live truly by faith (Acts 2:4,
Rom 1:17, Gal 3:16).
For more abominable Ha-Satan's work be, the Holy Scripture says that no
magistrate is a terror to the good work (Rom. 13:3). Therefore, the true good work is not related
to tranquility and well-being in this world. The Eternal will use the
injustices of Ha-Satan and his allies to lead us to the right place where true
good can manifest in us (Rom. 13: 4).
Face the injustices of Ha-Satan as more
opportunities to help others see the true blessings of the Eternal (2 Cor. 4.10,
11). After all, how do you
help someone that do not need? And what value is there in the miracle when the
natural is to the disposal? Thus we pay taxes and tributes just so that the
authorities can do all the evil they have planned and thus enable those around
us to have more opportunities to see clearly the difference that Christ is able
to make in the midst of it (Rom. 13:6).
Understand: the reason for subjecting authority
is not so much because of it properly, but because of the Eternal that is using
it to call us to His purport (Rom. 8:28). All the opposition of the wicked seeks to lead us to
the right place in order to do the right work. Unfortunately, we are often so
attached to the world that we can only see blessings on the physical plane (see 1 Cor.
15:15). This makes it difficult
to see that suddenly, the fact that we have been rescued from the world and
called to a particular work is precisely to deal with that boring, unjust,
rebellious, bad guy. Who knows, it was specifically for such an hour and such
an individual that we were created (Esther 4.14, John 12.27)?
WE SHOULD NOT
USE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THIS WORLD
Nevertheless, the fact that all authority is
constituted by the Eternal does not mean that we can make use of the justice of
the world (trying to compel the sinner to pay for the wrong done
to us). Although it is the Eternal
who has constituted such authority, the question arises: for what purpose? As
avenger (Rom. 13:4). I ask you: do you want a jealous God for you or an
avenger of evil (see Nahum 1.2,3). If you choose revenge, you are, in essence,
questioning the authority and justice of Jesus. And this is the essence of sin.
Think: if our presence here were to gain space (to do and
acquire things) and punish all who
threatened this conquest, what would be the reason for being of the Church? It
is enough for the Eternal to shut up, and the sinner himself digs up his evil (Job 5.13,
Psalms 7.16; 94.23; 109.29; Isa 59:7,8; Rom 3.9-18). Notwithstanding, Jesus commanded us to love
our enemies (Matt 5:44) and even set a table full for us in their presence (Psalm 23:5). The only explanation is that they need to be
strong and healthy to fulfill the role they have been given in our lives. And
it is up to us to give them to eat (Romans 12:19-21 - this reminds us
of the multitude fed in Matthew 14:16, Mark 6:37, Luke 9:13, composed of the
most diverse types of individuals, including those who would fulfill the
prophecy by asking for the crucifixion of Jesus).
THE ROLE OF
THE EVIL IN OUR LIFE
You may be wondering: what role can some sinner
have in our lives? Refine ourselves (see Mark 3: 2-3). Without them the plan of the Eternal for us
can’t be fulfilled. Do not forget that we will only be led to life if we are
willing to go through the right door and path, that is, where there is no room
for our selfish rights (Matt. 7:13,14).
For example:
•
Joseph, to reach Pharaoh's presence, had to be sold by his brothers (Gen. 45:7,8) and unjustly accused by Potiphar's wife (Gen.
39:18-20). At first, we might think
that the Eternal had been unjust to Joseph. However, if this had not happened,
he would have ended up as a steward of a simple house: he would not have seen
his father again, perhaps he had gone to hell (since he hold a grudge against
the brethren), would not have
experienced such power, wealth, and glory, let alone go to the gallery of the
heroes of faith (Heb. 11:22).
•
David would not have gained the respect of the people of Israel if he
didn’t have a Goliath to overcome (see 1Sam. 18:7) and would not have conquered Goliath if a lion
and a bear didn’t have come forth to meet (1Sam 17.33-37).
•
If Haman had not turned against the Jews, Esther would have ended his
days as a mere queen (one who, though more privileged than the other women,
was regarded as a mere entertainment object of the king - see Esther 1:10,11). However, as Haman rose up against the Jews,
this motivated Esther to approach the Eternal and seek the deliverance of her
people, risking her life for it. Outcome: in the end, she and Mordecai were
ruling Persia next to the king.
•
It was the unjust law of presidents and satraps that allowed King Darius
to see the true God in the lion's den by saving Daniel (Dan.
6.24-26). Without this, Daniel
would not have prospered nor become free from enemies.
In addition, consider the case of Achan (Joshua 7:11). At first, it does not seem fair to all Israel
to lose the war because of one man. However, if they had fulfilled the
commandment to love their neighbor (Lev. 19:18), seeking the best for one another (Jer. 29:7), Achan would have had no room to take from the
anathema. If Israel were praying with sincerity and intensity, the Eternal
would tell them that something was wrong. Our problem is to think that we can
solve something without Him (Joshua 7:3) or that we can live without worrying about the
well-being of others (Amos 6:3-6; Eze 16.49; Zech 1.15).
The power of the Favor of the Eternal appears
precisely when we can, for the love of Jesus, "con-firm" the law,
that is, to establish all that Jesus is together with the sinner. That is why
Judas was chosen as an apostle: to show that even though there was a devil in
the middle (John 6:70), even though he was possessed by Ha-Satan (John 13:27), yet all Holy Scripture would not fail to be
fulfilled (Psalms 41.9; John 13:18).
This is the assurance to us that the plans of
the Eternal can’t be frustrated (see Job 42.2, Isa 43:13), that we do not have to force ourselves to keep
all circumstances favorable. Although enemies are free to do what they want,
and often even succeed, yet not even all the cunning and wickedness of Ha-Satan
and his minions can thwart what is Jesus' in us.
To be more exact: in addition to nourishing our
trust in Jesus' sovereignty, it allows sinners to visualize what comes out of
them when they are free to do that which is in their hearts (Psalms
81:12; Prov 1.19; Romans 1.23-28), as well as what the glory of Jesus is able to
do in the midst of such wickedness in the life of those who submit to Him (Rom. 5:20;
9:22,23), serving this as testimony
for when He comes to judge the living and the dead (see 2Tim
1.4-8).
So if you were free from all opposition, you
would not know within yourself all the effectiveness of the love of the
Eternal. Since sin entered the world by knowing unnecessary wisdom within
oneself (Ecl 7.29), now the only way to be freed from it is to know
the truth within oneself (John 8:32), that is, experiencing it inwardly.
Hence the Eternal does not tear the tares (Matt
13.28,29), but even allow them to
prosper (Job 21: 7-20; Psalms 73.1-19,27). Otherwise, how could the mercy of the Eternal
be exercised within us and purify and strengthen our faith and those around us (1Peter
5:8,9)? Moreover, how could all
see that the prosperity of the wicked never satisfies them (see Psalms
56:7; 62.10,11; 73.17-20; Pv 12.3; Ecl 8.8; Ezek 7.13)?
THE TRUE
PROBLEM IS TO BELIEVE IN JESUS WITHOUT CONSIDERING OUR SPIRITUAL SITUATION
Understand: the problem is not in believing in
God (deep down, even atheists believe). The problem is to see the Eternal without thinking
about our weaknesses, limitations, desires, needs, etc. What many do is put
Jesus at the center of their lives, rather than giving their lives for Jesus to
place them in the proper place of His body and His life.
Although, for a time, things seem to work well,
when the storm comes (and it will come - John 16.33) the ruin will be great (Matthew
7:24-27). After all, everything we
build based on the wrong knowledge that we assimilate from the Eternal will
crumble and the worst: by His action (Matt 3.10, 15.13; Heb 12.25-27). At this hour, our trust in the Eternal will falter, even crumbling.
Because we build our faith based on our expectations about Him instead of
seeing Him as He is, all will surely fail. And the longer it takes for the
storm to come, the more time and resources are lost.
And even if the individual is able to overcome
the storm, it does not improve his situation: he will have no opportunity to
see the misery in which he lives (Isa. 57:10), being condemned to be imprisoned in it (without the
least capacity to get rid of it). And to bring destruction to himself and to those who surround him
indefinitely (Psalms 69.22-28; Prov
1.18,19).
Hence be blessed who is rebuked by the Eternal (Psalms
94.12, 13).
THE WICKED TO
BE BLESSED SEEM UNJUST, BUT IT IS NOT
Meditate on Psalm 37 and you will see that in the
end the real profit of the wicked goes to the righteous. He is to enjoy the
riches gathered by the wicked (Ecl 2:26) to win friends (Luke 16:9), to gather up treasures in heaven (Matt
6:19-21) and thus to be rich toward
the Eternal (Luke 12:21).
Now do you understand the reason why, when we
serve the Eternal, the struggles increase (see 1 Peter 4:12-19)? Such a correction seeks to enable us to do
something better and to grant us real peace (see Isa. 38:17), namely, to free us
from the haste of running to the evil that binds us (Proverbs 16:
25-27, Isa 59:7,8).
Therefore, the worst thing that can happen is that the Eternal gives us over to
the desires of our heart (Psalms 81.12, Is 5: 1, 23-28): all we get only will bring us harm and take
away our sleep (Ephesians 5:12,13).
Do not be indignant, therefore, that success in
this world is destined for the wicked (Ps 37.1,7; Ecl
2:26). Only the blessing of the
Eternal is perfect and enriches without bringing pain (Proverbs
10:22, Jas 1:16, 17).
And they are waiting for us (1Cor 2,9,12, Eph 1.3, 2Pet
1.3), specially reserved for
those who love the Eternal (1Cor 2:9-12). They go beyond all that is in this world (1Cor 15:19), of what we can ask or think (1Cor 2: 2,
12, Eph 3: 19-20). It is enough to let His power work in us (Phil. 4:19) while we sleep (we rest and wait in Him) (Psalms 37.7; 127.2).
WHY THE
ETERNAL CONDEMN TO GO TO JUSTICE OF THE WORLD?
For all this, it is possible to learn that,
instead of fighting the injustices of the world, we must consider them as the
opportunity that the Eternal is giving us to see the inner misery that sin
brings to those who worship it and, at the same time, the immense misery to
which we often cling and which prevents us from seeing the riches of the glory
of the Eternal in us.
Now do you understand why the Eternal condemns
anyone seeking help in the legal system that controls the world (see Is 30:
1-3, 31: 1-3)? In addition to being
wasted an opportunity to fruit more for the Eternal, every legal process
implies a lot of slander being pronounced on both sides (accused and
accuser, as well as their representatives and sympathizers). This only serves to feed the hatred in the
heart of each of the present, in addition to accentuating the enmity between
defendant and accuser. I ask you: do you think it is worth living so much
hatred and pleasure in evil and stimulating it in the hearts of others only to
have your rights guaranteed and quench your thirst for revenge? Do you think
it's good to be envied or hated? If so, know that the curse will fatally cling
to you (Psalms 109: 17,18) until you pay all your debt to the Eternal (Matt
5.23-26, 18.23-35).
Further, consider that the legal system is
composed of individuals who have no acceptance before the Eternal (1Cor 6:4-6). So, no real good can bring this to you. Think
about how your life was before you were the victim of this one you're suing?
Are you sure he's the cause of all the ills in your life? If you think it is, I
ask you: how did he have access to your life? Certainly through a breach in
your heart. What good is it to punish such an adversary if this will not stop
such a breach? Obviously you will continue to be subject to the entry of new
invaders.
WHO RENDERS TO
THE JUSTICE OF THE WORLD CAN LOSE THE MEANING OF THEIR RELATIONSHIPS
What is the use of having the rights won if this
implies losing the respect of those we love? After all, those who are
accustomed to receiving their rights from others, will fatally do the same with
their relatives, friends (coming to resent when they do not meet their
standards of justice).
For example, imagine you working out all day and
when you get home you find the whole house messed up by your son. If you
quarrel with him, you will only foster bad feelings (see Col.
3:21). Why, instead of making
use of rules to establish boundaries or obligations in relationships, do you
not seek to draw closer to the Eternal and the neighbor, so that there is more
disposition in you and in it, so that together you can do what is good?
Even though this is wrong, get over your head
and try to talk to your child and, together fix the mess. You can turn this
disorder into an opportunity to get close to your child, and do something
together and teach him something precious.
Hence the Sacred Scripture instructs us to do
all things without murmuring or strife, certain that the Eternal is operating
His will and doing according to His good will (Phil. 2: 12-15; Ecl. 9:10), meaning our good and salvation according to his purpose (Rom. 8:28). Be able to always rejoice, pray without
ceasing, give thanks in everything, without doubting that what is happening is
the will of the Eternal in Christ Jesus to you. (1 Thessalonians 5.16-18). Do this and you will be irreprehensible and
sincere, blameless God’s son, in the midst of a corrupt and perverse
generation, among whom you shine as a star in the world (see Dan
12.3).
Note that while the world's righteousness
highlights the errors that justify separation (excuse not to struggle to grow in
character), Jesus' Favor unites them
over these same errors (Luke 7:47) that Ha-Satan used to try to divide them, and keep
them separated from each other and the blessing of the Eternal One for both (Matt
18:18-20).
It is not in vain that James says: "For he
shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment." (James 2:13). After all, it is the exercise of mercy that
unites us to each other and frees our soul from being consumed (Lam 3.22,
23) by the tormentors (Matt 18:
23-35). True unity does not come
about by taking advantage of the gifts of others, but rather by letting the
Eternal use His life in oneself to restrain the ego of the other (saving him
from oneself - Matt 16.24).
BY LAW ALL
SERVICE IS A THEFT
The truth is that no good can ever come from
evil (at least not something that really stands and satisfies). Every effort of this world for peace brings
only more conflict. And it could not be different: how can there be peace when
all are devastated by sin? Analyze and you will see that the greatest torment
in your life comes from within, from your heart.
Every time we want to receive something that is
in the power of the neighbor, but he refuses to give us, the torment takes care
of us. The fact that we find ourselves deserving of something makes our
neighbor a villain for not wanting to give us, and everything we need to put
this revolt out is a reason to accuse him.
It is no wonder that the mark of the beast was
tied to commerce (buying and selling - Rev. 13:16,17) and Jesus refers to money as a wealth of
injustice (Luke 16:9). Since in the Babylonian System (the system
governing this world)
there is no satisfaction in sharing, how to determine the fair price to be
charged (the Eternal abhors the exaggerated gain - Eze 18.8)? After all, those who sell will never think they have been paid well
enough; and anyone who pays will always find that someone else is getting too
much (since the seller will use the money paid in something that no direct
benefit will bring).
The truth is that the buyer thinks that the money is his and must be used
eternally in his favor (see, for example, Gen 31.43).
In other words, by law, every service is a form
of theft. After all, what is stealing? Is it not taking something that belongs to
the other without your consent? Even if there is mental consent, if there is no
sentimental approval, this still is theft. Each one is being violated (by his womb
- Proverbs 20:27; Ecl. 6:7) to do something for the neighbor without caring
for him, and this, for his turn, is being violated (for fear of
punishment, whether of men or divine) to pay for the service.
ONLY LOVE IS
FAIR
On the other hand, in love:
•
whoever delivers the service is pleased to offer it with joy (Eph. 4:28);
•
those who benefit from the service are happy to share the necessary
resources so that the service provider can continue in the work (2Cor 9.6;
Gal 6.6).
In this case, whoever renders the service will
do exactly what the individual needs and this will give him exactly the
resource that the Eternal has touched in his heart to give him, for they both
see each other reward for themselves. After all, as in Christ we are
individually members of one another (Rom. 12: 5), then what is good for one is for the other (one is the
channel of blessing of the Eternal in the life of the other): the service provider ends up serving himself (as the
service will provide the receiver to serve the Eternal more effectively) and the buyer giving the resource to himself (as this
feature will allow the service provider to remain in his gift perfecting it,
being available to when buyer or someone connected to him to need his services
again). This is not selfishness,
but love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12.33). Even though it is not excellence, it is the
way to it (Rom. 10:4), that we may love one another as Jesus loved us (John 13:34,
35).
It is not in vain that justice is synonymous
with something neither loose nor too tight. Only love can produce a just
relationship, where each one gives with joy (2Cor 9.6) exactly what the other needs to receive from
the Eternal. Hence one who loves others to keep the law (Rom. 13: 8). Note that it is not "obeying" but
"fulfilling" the law.
Obedience, in the colloquial sense, is solely a
mere agreement to fulfill obligations. Notwithstanding, when we let everyone
that the Eternal brings to be part of us, all righteousness that is possible in
the law is fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according
to the spirit (Rom. 8:3-4). That is to say, the law is con-firmed, established
within us and the neighbor by means of the Word of the Eternal operating in
both (Rom. 3:31).
And what law is con-firmed? The bond (love) around forgiveness and mercy. Let our lives be
the priesthood of the Eternal in the lives of those whom Jesus has given us, as
well as the kingdom of the Eternal where there are those in whom they are to
exercise this priesthood. That is, the law is not to do the right things, but
to help others not to do the wrong thing. It is not to show our correctness,
but to see the failings of others to be worked out for us.
THE
IMPERFECTION OF THE LAW
The law, on the other hand, is useless (Heb.
7:18,19). It never solves the
problem. For example, what is the use of not killing who does not have pleasure
in life? Once he is trapped in depression, loneliness, madness, etc., without
any motivation to live, obeying the commandment "thou shalt not kill"
does not solve his problem. However, those who love to the point of giving
their life in Christ so that the life of the lost one may have meaning, can
give life to this who was dead (Ephesians 2:2).
Obedience to the commandment, "Thou shalt
not steal" shall do nothing for the poor. However, when the guy loves his
neighbor, he shares his life with him, so that he can find in the man what he
needs (as he who is of the Eternal finds in His presence the
supply of his needs – Phil 4.14).
THE TRUE
JUSTICE OF THE ETERNAL
But after all, what is the true righteousness of
the Eternal?
•
"Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation
through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of
sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" (Romans 3:25).
•
"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came
upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift
came upon all men unto justification of life." (Romans 5:18)
•
"For what the law could not do, in that it was
weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the
law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit." (Rom. 8.3,4).
Note that it is not for us to fulfill the
righteousness of the law, but to let it be fulfilled in us by the Spirit of
Jesus working in us. Jesus is the perfect justice of the Eternal. And who is
Jesus? He who gave His life for the sins of others, leaving us an example to be
followed (1Peter 2:21-24).
We are here to let Jesus use the ones He has
given us so that, together, His Favor can be established in our and them
hearts.
The work of the Eternal is to believe that
Christ justifies the wicked:
•
"Then said they unto him, What
shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto
them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him
whom he hath sent." (John 6: 28,29).
•
"But to him that worketh
not, but believeth on him that justifieth the
ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, saying, Blessed are
they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the
man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."(Romans 4:5-8).
That is to say, we need to believe that Jesus
will justify the sinners he has placed in our lives through us, as well as
believe that our sins will be covered by Jesus through their lives by firming
together with us His word in us (see Rev 19.8). We should not separate ourselves from those
who sin in order to be free from evil (see Isa 65.5). In fact, it is this type of individual, as we
have seen, that acts are as a consuming fire in the midst of an immense forest (James 3:6).
Instead, we must let the love of Christ keep us
connected to His body, without ever separating from it. The important thing is
not how much we have gained or done, but to remain in His goodness for those
whom He has given us (John 15:9; Romans 11.22), without leaving them behind. We can’t grow
without them (Ephesians 4:15, 16). This is justice.
