Do we need of apocryphal
books to figure out the Holy Scripture?
·
Jud 1:9 -> “But when the archangel Michael, contending
with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to
pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.””.
Many people use this
excerpt (among others) to justify it. Nonetheless, the Holy Scripture is
sufficient to explain itself under the orientation of the Holy Spirit. To take
in this passage, we need to understand some concepts.
1 – What is the body of
Moses?
· Heb 3:1-6 -> “Therefore, holy brothers,
you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high
priest of our confession, who was faithful to him who appointed him, just
as Moses also was faithful in all God's house. For Jesus has been counted
worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house
has more honor than the house itself. (For every house is built by
someone, but the builder of all things is God.) Now Moses was faithful in
all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken
later, but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his
house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.”.
As we could read, Moses
was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, such as Jesus was faithful in all
God’s house as a son. It comes the question: what is God’s house?
God’s house is the people with
whom the Creator made His alliance. In regard to Jesus (New Testament), it is
the Church; in regard to Moses (Old Testament), Israel.
Nevertheless, the Church
is also the Body of Christ; thereby, Israel is the body of Moses.
2 – And who is the head of
the body of Moses?
Well, of the Body of
Christ, Jesus is the head because He resurrected and is alive. But, and the
Body of Moses? While he was alive, it was him. After his death, the head of
Israel passed to the high priest (Exodus 29:29,30; Numbers 3:10).
3 – Who is the “angel of
the Lord”? In some circumstances the angel is Jesus (as in Num 22:31; Judges
2:1); in others, an angel commissioned to a special mission (Judges 6:11:12)
(por instance, an archangel).
Considering these concepts,
let’s go to Zechariah 3:
·
Zech 3:1,2 (GNB) -> “In another vision the LORD showed me
the High Priest Joshua standing before the angel of the LORD. And there beside
Joshua stood Satan, ready to bring an accusation against him. The angel of the LORD
said to Satan, "May the LORD condemn you, Satan! May the LORD, who loves
Jerusalem, condemn you. This man is like a stick snatched from the fire.".
At first, many people
could think that the object of the prophecy was only Joshua. Nonetheless, as
the prophecy was made for the leaders, of course this would influence all the
Israel. Besides, see the promise below:
·
Zec 3:9-10 -> “For behold, on the stone that I have
set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its
inscription, declares the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this
land in a single day. In that day, declares the LORD of hosts, every one
of you will invite his neighbor to come under his vine and under his fig tree.””.
Therefore, the angel of
the Lord here is Michael, who was disputing against
Ha-Satan about the prosperity of Israel (Moses’ body).
I decided to write about
this subject because I saw on the internet many people that believe in the Holy
Scripture, but that asserts that it was manipulated by the masons, which,
intentionally, remove many books in order to debar people of having a perfect
comprehension of Jesus’ will.
I don’t agree. Although
there are many corrupt people in the religions and Ha-Satan has made of all to
hide the Truth, when the Creator determines something, nobody can hamper (Job
42:2; Isa 43:13):
·
Psa 117:2 -> “For his merciful kindness is great toward
us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.”.
·
Mat 24:35 -> “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my
words shall not pass away.”.
So, have a good day
enjoying all the access that was given to you in regard to the Truth.
